Exchange to Entourage

We're getting rid of our Exchange server as the office of 10 users is
moving off PCs and on to new Intel iMacs. I am wondering if there's a
way to put all those emails into Entourage. I believe the PC is running
2003 Small Business Server. Some services must be turned off because I
can't do the usual thing and connect from Entourage through the network
through IMAP.

I welcome your thoughts.

Thanks.

If you keep the Exchange Server at least until you have the new Macs, you
can connect to the Exchange Server using Entourage on the Mac (not IMAP) and
then copy messages from the Exchange folders to local folders ("on my
computer").

If that isn't possible, this page has a pretty clear tutorial for moving
mail from Outlook to Entourage.

Outlook2Mac advertises that it can automate the same procedure. However,
some users have noted that contacts, calendar events, and tasks don't always
transfer properly.

Hey! It worked. There were some proxy settings to put in, and a
certificate warning to ignore, and then success.

So, all the emails will soon be over but not the calendar. We've tried
the drag and drop and the export. (The export's only near suitable
offer is a csv option. Yikes.)

Any suggestions?

Good luck with the calendar sharing, though... there are a lot of posts
all over the internet from people who can't update shared calendars (it
broke with a patch to SP2 on the Exchange Server), and so far no fixes
that I can find.

We found a solution using http://littlemachines.com. So we're good.

I can post this next related question elsewhere but for consistency
sake, here goes:

We've installed the Services For Macintosh (SFM) from the Mactopia
site. I remember this doing the trick when it came down to mounting the
PC drivers on the Mac. For some reason it's not working. We can connect
to Exchange and mail/contacts/calendars pour in. Still, there must be
some setting turned off on SBS 2003 Exchange. There are proxies on that
we've dealt with when we surf on the Mac and who knows what else. It
just feels like something on the Exchange server needs to be activated.

Any ideas?
